1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Washerly's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our service. Your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of these terms.
2. Service Description
Washerly provides premium laundry pickup, wash, fold, and delivery services throughout Hudson, Bergen, Passaic, and Essex counties in Northern New Jersey. Our service operates daily with pickup and delivery available until 10PM.
Standard turnaround time is 24-48 hours from pickup to delivery. Expedited next-day delivery is available for an additional fee. Service availability may vary by location and demand.
3. Account Registration
To use Washerly's services, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
Each account is limited to one person. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.
4. Pricing & Payment
Washerly offers flexible pricing options to suit your needs:
On-Demand (single pickup): $24.99 per bag + $6.99 service fee per pickup
Weekly Subscription (4 pickups/month): $21.99 per bag — service fee waived
Biweekly Subscription (2 pickups/month): $23.49 per bag — service fee waived
Service & Delivery Fee: $6.99 per pickup (on-demand orders only; waived for all subscription plans)
All prices are subject to change with reasonable notice. Payment is processed securely through Stripe at the time of order placement. You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred.
5. Booking & Cancellation Policy
All service bookings must be made at least 2 hours in advance of your desired pickup time.
Cancellation Terms:
• Free Cancellation: Cancel anytime before your scheduled pickup time at no charge
• Late Cancellation Fee: If you cancel within 2 hours of your scheduled pickup time, a $10 fee applies (driver has already been dispatched)
• Washerly Cancellations: If we cancel your order for any reason, you receive a full refund with no fees
Repeated no-shows without cancellation may result in service suspension.
5a. Service Guarantee
Next-Day Delivery Standard: Our standard turnaround time is 24-48 hours from pickup to delivery.
48-Hour Guarantee: If your order is delayed beyond 48 hours from pickup time, you will automatically receive a 50% credit applied to that order. No action needed—we'll apply the credit automatically if we miss our delivery window.
Delivery delays due to customer unavailability, incorrect address information, or severe weather conditions are not eligible for the guarantee credit.
6. Prohibited Items
For your safety and the protection of our facilities, the following items are strictly prohibited and must NOT be included in your laundry:
Prohibited items include: jewelry, cash, wallets, valuables of any kind, leather goods, fur, silk garments, heavily stained or contaminated items, items with bodily fluids, hazardous materials, items requiring dry cleaning only, and any items that could damage equipment or pose safety risks.
⚠️ CHECK YOUR POCKETS
You are responsible for checking all pockets before pickup. Washerly is NOT liable for any cash, keys, electronics, jewelry, identification, credit cards, or any items left in pockets. Items left in pockets may be lost, damaged, or destroyed during the wash process. This is your responsibility—please check thoroughly before each pickup.
IMPORTANT: Washerly is NOT liable for damage to or loss of any prohibited items placed in your laundry bags. If you include prohibited items against these terms, you assume all risk of loss or damage.
Please use a standard 13-gallon kitchen bag for your laundry. All items must be machine-washable and safe for commercial laundering equipment.
7. Liability & Claims
We take great care in handling your clothes and use professional-grade equipment and detergents. However, if you believe an item was damaged or lost during our service, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery to file a claim.
Liability Cap: Washerly's total liability for lost or damaged items is capped at 10 times (10x) the order value.
Example: If your order is $25 for one bag, our maximum liability for any lost or damaged items in that order is $250 total.
We are not liable for damage to or loss of:
• Items that were not machine-washable or were prohibited items
• Items with pre-existing damage or wear
• Items left in pockets (cash, jewelry, electronics, keys, etc.)
• Damage due to the nature of the fabric, construction, or manufacturer defects
• Color bleeding, shrinkage, or fading from items that should have been dry-cleaned
• Any items valued above the 10x order value liability cap
To file a claim, contact us at hello@washerly.com within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damaged item and proof of value if applicable.
8. Subscription Terms
Weekly and biweekly subscription plans provide discounted per-bag pricing, waived service fees, and convenient recurring service. The discount comes from subscribing to a plan, not from ordering more bags per pickup.
Cancel Anytime, No Penalty: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard with no cancellation fee or penalty. Your current billing cycle will complete, and you will continue to have access to subscription benefits until the end of that cycle. No refunds are provided for partial months.
You may also pause your subscription for up to 4 weeks if you need a temporary break.
9. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. We collect and use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated terms on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date.
Your continued use of Washerly's services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms of Service. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our service shall be resolved in the courts of New Jersey.
